Tenerife Island, (Santa cruz de Tenerife) 
Spanish island situated in the Atlantic Ocean, in front of the African coasts. The island belongs to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which form part of the Canaries together with the province of Las Palmas. The capital of the island is Santa Cruz de Tenerife
La island is the biggest of the whole archipelago, with an extension of 2,034 km2 and its highest peak is the mountain Teide with 3,718 metres, the highest in the whole Spanish territory. Tenerife has the most population in the archipelago, with 799,889 inhabitants according to ISTAC.
