the west of Spain, it is bordered on west by Portugal and by the following autonomous communities: On the north by Castilla y Leon, on the east by Castilla-La Mancha and on the south by Andalucia. Its capital is the city of Merida. Continental moderate and dry climate with mild winters and hot summers in the south and west and more extreme in the north.
