CurrencyThe official currency in Spain is the Euro.There are coins of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 cents and 1 and 2 euros. There are notes of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 euros. Also paying with a major credit/debit card is possible at most Spanish shops and hotels. It must be declared in Spain if you enter or take out more than 6,011 euros from the country. TipsIt is advisable to leave tips in bars, restaurants and hotel personnel.
